Most people will never understand why I get up before dawn, in the rain, snow, or summer heat, to stand at water's edge. Whenever I am asked why I do it, my response is..."for the rise."

Weekend Fishing

Posted in Uncategorized on August 25th, 2010 by Cole

This is just a quick little pre-report. My whole family is going up to the Uintas, this coming weekend. We plan on fishing and four wheeling. One thing we are really looking forward to is taking the wheelers into some remote places to see if we cant snag a hungry brookie. We have found a camp spot we love in the Lost Creek lake CG. Its right next to the lake and provides us easy access for the kids to go fishing. I will make sure to have a full report after we return and maybe even a picture or two of some BIG brookies. The summer weekends are running out, so hopefully everyone will be able to get out and enjoy some great fishing. GO get em.

Why I fish

Posted in Uncategorized on August 21st, 2010 by Cole

Life is full of stress and chaos. Whenever life is getting too hectic and  crazy there is one thing I know that will calm the day. Nothing gets you away from the world like throwing a dry and having it hit the water and instantly the line is tight with a heavy brown tugging back. I can’t think of a better stress reliever than to land a hopper right above a waiting rainbow, and the water thrashes violently with the hook set. This is why I fish. I do it all for the rise.
